Yes (Band)
Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968. Comprising List of Yes band members, 20 full-time musicians over their career, their most notable members include lead singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarists Steve Howe and Trevor Rabin, drummers Bill Bruford and Alan White (Yes drummer), Alan White, and keyboardists Tony Kaye (musician), Tony Kaye and Rick Wakeman. The band have explored several musical styles and are often regarded as progressive rock pioneers. Since February 2023, the band's line-up consists of Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, bassist Billy Sherwood, singer Jon Davison, and drummer Jay Schellen. Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman, also known as Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman (ARW), were a progressive rock band founded by former Yes (band), Yes members Jon Anderson (vocals, acoustic guitar), Trevor Rabin (guitar, vocals), and Rick Wakeman (keyboards) in an offshoot of the band. The three had previously worked together in Yes for the 1991–1992 Union Tour. The trio were first announced as working together in 2010. After working on new music since 2011, the band announced activity in January 2016 as Anderson, Rabin and Wakeman. Yoso
Yoso was an American rock supergroup combining former members of Yes ( Tony Kaye and Billy Sherwood) and Toto ( Bobby Kimball). It was a spin-off from the group Circa. History The band grew out of a plan for Kimball and Circa (consisting of Sherwood, Kaye, guitarist Jimmy Haun and drummer Jay Schellen) to play together on an Italian tour in early 2009. This was cancelled, but it was decided to form a new band with all five, announced under the name AKA; this was later changed to Yoso (a combination of Yes and Toto). With Schellen busy with other projects, he was replaced by Lou Molino III, who has worked previously with Sherwood and former Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin. An album was recorded in 2009. Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (ABWH) were an English progressive rock band active from 1988 to 1990 that comprised four past members of the English progressive rock band Yes. Singer Jon Anderson left Yes as he felt increasingly constrained by their commercial and pop-oriented direction in the 1980s. He began an album with other members from the band's 1970s era: guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and drummer Bill Bruford, plus bassist Tony Levin (Bruford's bandmate in King Crimson). The group released their only studio album, '' Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe'', in June 1989 which reached number 14 in the UK and number 30 in the US. Cinema (band)
Cinema were a short-lived English progressive rock band started in January 1982 by former Yes members Alan White and Chris Squire, with guitarist Trevor Rabin. The previous year, Squire and White had formed the abortive band XYZ with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Cinema had plans to release their debut album in 1983, and were working on a number of songs, most of which had been written by Rabin. Later, these musicians were joined by keyboardist Tony Kaye and, eventually, Jon Anderson, both founding members of the then-disbanded Yes. They started recording the album ''90125'', but soon after this the band dropped the "Cinema" name, and continued as "Yes". XYZ were a short-lived English rock supergroup (music), supergroup. The name XYZ is taken from "eX-Yes-Zeppelin" as the group consisted of ex-Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, along with ex-Yes (band), Yes members Chris Squire (bass guitar, vocals, keyboards) and Alan White (Yes drummer), Alan White (drums).
