Yasodara Córdova
Yasodara Córdova (born 1980), also known as Yaso, is an activist, coder, designer and researcher. Her work has focused on technologies to improve the democratic process, using open data, online identity, and privacy approaches. She is currently a research fellow at the Digital Harvard Kennedy School, and affiliate to the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, Berkman Klein Center at Harvard. She has been part of several Ministries in Brazil, the United Nations and the World Wide Web Consortium, W3C. As an activist, she is co-founder and advisor of multiple initiatives around Hacktivism, Internet hacktivism. Career Córdova studied Industrial Design at the University of Brasília, Federal University of Brasilia, completed an MBA at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas and earned a MPA at Harvard Kennedy School in 2022. Open Data
Open data are data that are openly accessible, exploitable, editable and shareable by anyone for any purpose. Open data are generally licensed under an open license. The goals of the open data movement are similar to those of other "open(-source)" movements such as open-source software, open-source hardware, open content, open specifications, open education, open educational resources, open government, open knowledge, open access (publishing), open access, open science, and the open web. The growth of the open data movement is paralleled by a rise in intellectual property rights.
