XHCHZ-FM
XHCHZ-FM is a radio station in Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico. Broadcasting on 107.9 FM, XHCHZ-FM is owned by the Instituto Mexicano de la Radio and broadcasts a music and information format under the name "Radio Lagarto". History In the mid-1980s, an accord between IMER and the government of Chiapas led to the establishment of three new IMER stations: XERA-AM in San Cristóbal de las Casas, XECAH-AM in Cacahoatán and XEMIT-AM in Comitán. In 1990, this was split, and XERA stayed with the government of Chiapas while XECAH and XEMIT remained with IMER. As a replacement, XECHZ-AM 1560 took to the air in 1991. XECHZ broadcast with 4.5 kW of power (due to an older transmitter), increasing its power to 20 kW with a new transmitter in 1994. In 2012, XHCHZ-FM 107.9 was signed on as part of the AM-FM migration campaign currently underway among Mexican radio stations. XERA-AM
XERA is a radio station in Mexico, broadcasting on 760 AM in San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. The station's callsign was most famous for its use on a border blaster at Villa Acuña, Coahuila. XERA also broadcasts on FM at 101.5 MHz. It is not licensed for this frequency; the only FM station on the frequency in Chiapas is XHDB-FM in Tonalá. The border blaster From 1935 to 1939, XERA was the call sign of a border blaster licensed to Ramón D. Bósquez Vitela in September 1935 to Compañía Mexicana Radiodifusora Fronteriza in Villa Acuña, Coahuila. This station was the successor to XER (Villa Acuña), XER which had been situated at the same location but whose transmitter had been dismantled after the station ceased broadcasting in February 1933. The Instituto Mexicano de la Radio (IMER; English: "Mexican Radio Institute") is a Mexican public broadcaster. Chiapa De Corzo, Chiapas
Chiapa de Corzo () is a small city and municipality situated in the west-central part of the Mexican state of Chiapas. Located in the Grijalva River valley of the Chiapas highlands, Chiapa de Corzo lies some 15 km (9.3 mi) to the east of the state capital, Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Chiapa has been occupied since at least 1400 BCE, with a major archeological site which reached its height between 700 BCE and 200 CE. It is important because the earliest inscribed date, the earliest form of hieroglyphic writing and the earliest Mesoamerican tomb burial have all been found here. XHCAH-FM is a radio station in Cacahoatán, Chiapas, Mexico. Broadcasting on 89.1 FM, XHCAH-FM is owned by the Instituto Mexicano de la Radio and broadcasts a music and information format under the name "La Popular". History XECAH-AM 1350 took to the air on September 16, 1987. The location of XECAH was strategic: it was intended as a Mexican alternative to the Guatemalan stations and the Belize-based repeater of Voice of America available in the area. Its format was music, principally local marimba, mixed with public service messages. Some of the information on XECAH was broadcast in the Mam language with the goal of reaching the small communities that could receive 1350 AM. Cacahoatán is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Chiapas, in southern Mexico. It covers an area of 173.9 km2. The land of Cocoa. Nahuatl orig. Broadcasting on 94.9 FM, XHEMIT-FM is owned by the Instituto Mexicano de la Radio and broadcasts a music and information format under the name "Radio IMER". History XEMIT-AM 540 came on the air in 1988, one of three IMER stations that signed on under agreement with the Chiapas state government. HD Radio (HDR) is a trademark for in-band on-channel (IBOC) digital radio broadcast technology. HD radio generally simulcast, simulcasts an existing analog radio station in digital format with less noise and with additional text information.
