XFM
Radio X is a British National commercial radio station focused on alternative music, primarily indie rock, and owned by Global. Radio X launched in 1989 as a pirate radio station, a licensed London-wide station in 1997 and nationally in 2015 under the rebranded nand, Xfm. The station has employed a number of personalities that have since gone on to greater fame including Russell Brand, Karl Pilkington, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Simon Pegg, Christian O'Connell, Justin Lee Collins, Adam and Joe, Alex Zane, Tim Lovejoy, Dermot O'Leary and Josh Widdicombe. As of September 2022, the station broadcasts to a weekly audience of 1.9 million, according to RAJAR. It is the owner of the largest commercial radio company in Europe having expanded through a number of historical acquisitions, including Chrysalis Radio, GCap Media and GMG Radio. Karl Pilkington
Karl Pilkington (born 23 September 1972) is an English presenter, comedian, actor, voice-artist, producer and author. After working with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant as producer on their XFM radio show, Pilkington became a co-host of '' The Ricky Gervais Show''. He presented the Sky travel comedy series '' An Idiot Abroad'' and the Sky 1 travel comedy series '' The Moaning of Life''. He made his acting debut in Gervais' comedy-drama series '' Derek'' and co-founded the television production company RiSK Productions alongside Gervais and Merchant. Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais ( ; born 25 June 1961) is an English comedian, actor, writer, and director. Capital (radio Network) Capital is a network of twelve Independent Local Radio, independent contemporary hit radio stations in the United Kingdom, broadcasting a mix of local and networked programming. Nine of the stations are owned and operated by Global Media & Entertainment, while the other three are owned and operated under separate franchise agreements. As of September 2022, the stations serve a combined weekly audience of 5.7 million listeners and target a core audience in the 15–34 age group; 57% of all listeners are within this demographic.
