Woodridge is a town and suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , the suburb of Woodridge had a population of 12,579 people. Woodridge was home to a major timber reserve. Geography Booran is a neighbourhood with the suburb (). It was the site of the historic town of Booran, which was bounded by the (then) South Coast railway line (now the Gold Coast railway line) to the west, Victoria Street to the north, North Street to the east and Bruce Street to the south. History In 1888, a town of Booran was surveyed following the construction of the South Coast railway line. The name ''Booran'' comes from the Kabi language word ''buran'' meaning ''wind''. Trinder Park Railway Station, Brisbane
Trinder Park railway station is located on the Beenleigh line in Queensland, Australia. Queensland Rail City Network
The Queensland Rail Citytrain network, provides urban, suburban and interurban electric passenger railway services in South East Queensland, Australia. History The first railway in Queensland did not run to Brisbane, but ran from Ipswich to Grandchester and opened in July 1865. The line into Brisbane was not completed until the opening of the Albert Bridge in July 1875. A start on electrification of the suburban network was approved in 1950 but a change of state government in 1957 saw the scheme abandoned in 1959. Woodridge State High School
Woodridge State High School is a co-educational, state secondary school in Woodridge, a suburb of Logan, Queensland, Australia. The school opened in 1972, and currently has an enrolment of 1200 students (as of May 2016). While the school and suburb is based in the Logan Local Government Area, many of its students are from suburbs in the general Greater Brisbane Area. The current principal is Kathleen Janecek. Kingston is a town and suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. In the , Kingston had a population of 10,539 people. Geography Kingston is a predominantly residential suburb, with a low mix of industrial, commercial and retail areas. The Shire of Tingalpa was a local government area in the south-eastern suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The shire, administered from Mount Cotton, covered an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 1949. History On 11 November 1879, the Tingalpa Division was created as one of 74 divisions within Queensland under the ''Divisional Boards Act 1879'' with a population of 1,490.
