Westmoreland County, New South Wales
Westmoreland County was one of the original Nineteen Counties in New South Wales and is now one of the 141 Cadastral divisions of New South Wales. It is to the west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains. Coxs River is the border to the north, and the Wollondilly River to the east. Campbells River is the border in the north-east, where the county extends to near Bathurst, with the Fish River part of the border. Fish River (New South Wales)
Fish River, a perennial stream that is part of the Macquarie catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the central western district of New South Wales, Australia. The Fish River rises on the plateau south east of Oberon, and flows generally to the north-west, becoming the main headwater of the Macquarie River. It merges with Campbells River, just east of Bathurst, forming the Macquarie River. The river is impounded by a reservoir near Oberon which supplies water for the region. The Fish River descends over its course. The Fish River was given its name by George Evans in 1813, because of the large number of fish they found in it, being a rare permanent stream. Upper Lachlan Shire is a local government area in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales, Australia. Wingecarribee Shire is the local government area of the Southern Highlands in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The Wingecarribee Shire is around southwest of the Sydney central business district and is part of regional Capital Country and to some extent can be considered part of the Southern Tablelands. Wingecarribee Shire covers an area of that is typically referred to as the ''Southern Highlands''.
