Weight
In science and engineering, the weight of an object is the force acting on the object due to gravity. Some standard textbooks define weight as a Euclidean vector, vector quantity, the gravitational force acting on the object. Others define weight as a scalar quantity, the magnitude of the gravitational force. Yet others define it as the magnitude of the reaction (physics), reaction force exerted on a body by mechanisms that counteract the effects of gravity: the weight is the quantity that is measured by, for example, a spring scale. Thus, in a state of free fall, the weight would be zero. Ballast
Ballast is material that is used to provide stability to a vehicle or structure. Ballast, other than cargo, may be placed in a vehicle, often a ship or the gondola of a balloon or airship, to provide stability. A compartment within a boat, ship, submarine, or other floating structure that holds water is called a ballast tank. Water should move in and out from the ballast tank to balance the ship. In a vessel that travels on the water, the ballast will remain below the water level, to counteract the effects of weight above the water level. The ballast may be redistributed in the vessel or disposed of altogether to change its effects on the movement of the vessel. Weight Throw
Two sports have events that fall under the name of weight throw one being the track and field event and the other being the Scottish highland games events. The track and field event is most popular in the United States as an indoor equivalent to the hammer throw event, which can only be held outdoors. The 35 lb weight throw (men) and 20 lb weight throw (women) are not recognised by the International Association of Athletics Federations. The Scottish Highland Games contain two weight throwing events. In the one event the weight, 28 lb or 56 lb, is thrown in a similar manner to a discus. "Weight" is the debut single released by American drag queen Latrice Royale. The single was released on January 15, 2014. The song plays with the homophones "weight" and "wait", revolving around the topics of food, hunger, and cravings. The track features a verse by rapper Epiphany Mattel. Background Building off of his ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' season 4 success, Royale released a song with Manila Luzon called "The Chop" in 2012. While Luzon had gone on to release other tracks, Royale had not collaborated on any of the projects. ''Weight'' is the fourth full-length studio album by the Rollins Band, released on April 12, 1994. It featured the band's biggest hits, " Liar" and " Disconnect". The band recorded the album during a snowy December 1993 in Echo Creek Ranch, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Appearances in other media The video for the single "Liar" gained further popularity after appearing on a 1994 ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' episode titled "Liar! Liar!".
