We Are The People (Martin Garrix Song)
"We Are the People" is a song by Dutch DJ Martin Garrix, featuring Bono and the Edge from Irish rock band U2. It was officially released on 14 May 2021 as the official song for the UEFA Euro 2020. It was first performed in full at a virtual opening ceremony at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Music video The video of the song was filmed in London, England, and includes Bono and the Edge of Irish rock music, rock band U2. The video contains some footage from U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle, Ireland, the group's performance at Slane Castle in 2001. UEFA Euro 2020 On 19 October 2019, Garrix was announced as the official music artist of the tournament. Martijn Gerard Garritsen (; born 14 May 1996), known professionally as Martin Garrix and also as Ytram and GRX, is a Dutch disc jockey and music producer who was ranked number one on ''DJ Mag''s Top 100 DJs list for three consecutive years—2016, 2017, and 2018. He is best known for his singles "Animals (Martin Garrix song), Animals", "In the Name of Love (Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha song), In the Name of Love", and "Scared to Be Lonely". Garrix has performed at music festivals such as Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland (festival), Tomorrowland, and Creamfields. In 2014, he headlined the first edition of Ultra South Africa, making this his first major festival. In the same year, he became the youngest DJ to headline 2014 Ultra Music Festival at the age of 17.
