Dantebad is an aquatics venue located in the greater Munich, Germany area. During the 1972 Summer Olympics, it hosted preliminaries for the water polo competition. István Magas
István Magas (born 22 February 1952) is a Hungarian former water polo player who competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics. He has been professor at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Willamette University, Texas Tech University, and at the Corvinus University, Budapest, where between 2008-2012 he led the Department of World Economy. His research interest is in international finance and patterns of globalization. He received the Doctor of Science degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2013. Tamás Faragó
Tamás Faragó (born 5 August 1952) is a former Hungarian water polo player. He competed in all major international tournaments between 1970 and 1980 and won three medals at the Summer Olympics and five at the world and European championships. He was the top goalscorer at the 1976 Olympics, with 22 goals. After retiring from competitions he became a water polo coach, guiding Hungary's junior and women's national teams. In 1993 he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame, and in 2005 he was voted the Hungarian coach of the year. István Görgényi
István Görgényi (born 2 November 1946) is a Hungarian former water polo player who won a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics and coached the Australian women's national water polo team to the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Playing career Gorgenyi represented Hungary as a player 96 times and was a member of teams that won the silver medal at 1972 Munich Olympics, won the gold medal at the 1973 World Championships, the silver medal at the 1975 World Championships and won the gold medal at the 1974 European Water Polo Championship. He retired at 36 and took up coaching 18 months later. Coaching career From 1984 to 1990, he was Head Coach of Ujpest TE Sporting Club in the Hungarian National League from 1984 to 1990. András Bodnár
András Bodnár (born April 9, 1942) is a former Hungarian water polo player and freestyle swimmer who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics, 1964 Summer Olympics, 1968 Summer Olympics and 1972 Summer Olympics. He is one of eight male athletes who won four or more Olympic medals in water polo. Bodnár was born in Ungvár, Kingdom of Hungary. He was part of the Hungarian water polo team which won the bronze medal in the 1960 tournament. He played one match and scored one goal.
