Würenlos is a municipality in the district of Baden in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It lies north of the river Limmat, next to the canton of Zürich, located in the Limmat Valley (German: ''Limmattal''). Geography Würenlos has an area, , of . Of this area, 43.1% is used for agricultural purposes, while 34.1% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 20.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (2.1%) is non-productive (rivers or lakes). Since 2008 Fahr Monastery forms a small exclave of the municipality, otherwise surrounded by Unterengstringen of canton Zürich. Furttal Railway Line
Furttal is a valley region in Switzerland between Lägern and Altberg in the Dielsdorf district of the canton of Zurich. The area's name stems from the German word for ford, or ''furt'', and is named after the crossing over the Limmat in the community of Würenlos on the west side of the region. The area is bordered in the east near the community of Regensdorf by the Katzensee lakes. The population of the region is expanding rapidly due to its proximity to city of Zurich and its beautiful landscape. The S6 is a regional railway service of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's services connecting the cantons of Zürich and Aargau.
