Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure
The Worldwide Harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) is a global driving cycle standard for determining the levels of pollutants, carbon dioxide, CO2 emission standards and fuel efficiency, fuel consumption of conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid vehicle, hybrid automobiles, as well as the all-electric range of plug-in electric vehicles. Driving Cycle
A driving cycle is a series of data points representing the speed of a vehicle versus time. Driving cycles are produced by different countries and organizations to assess the performance of vehicles in various ways, for example, fuel consumption, electric vehicle autonomy and polluting emissions. Fuel consumption and emission tests are performed on chassis dynamometers. Tailpipe emissions are collected and measured to indicate the performance of the vehicle. Global warming potential (GWP) is a measure of how much heat a greenhouse gas traps in the atmosphere over a specific time period, relative to carbon dioxide ().
