Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-23s (or the Development squad) is a football team that competes in Division 2 of the newly created Professional Development League, Premier League 2. The club qualify as an entrant in the competition, by virtue of their academy holding Category 1 status. Although the league is designed for players aged 23 and below, three overage players may also feature. The team is currently under the management of Jamie Collins (footballer, born 1978), Jamie Collins and home games are primarily staged at Kidderminster Harriers' Aggborough home, though the team also plays games at Molineux Stadium, Molineux. The team has been a pathway into Wolves' first team for the past two seasons, with the likes of current first-team players Hugo Bueno (footballer, born 2002), Hugo Bueno, Chem Campbell, Luke Cundle, Joe Hodge and Dexter Lembikisa progressing from the U21 side. Rory John McCaughan Gorman (born 26 October 1992) is a former footballer who played as a winger. Gorman began his career with Manchester City before transferring to Manchester United. After six years at United, he was released and joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2009. Jamie Vincent Junior Reckord (born 9 March 1992) is an English footballer who plays as a full back. He started his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers and during his time there had spells on loan with Northampton Town, Scunthorpe United, Coventry City, Plymouth Argyle and Swindon Town. John Francis Dunleavy (born 3 July 1991) is an Irish former footballer who played as a defender. Career Dunleavy joined Wolverhampton Wanderers academy in October 2006, rejecting the chance to join clubs such as Manchester United and Celtic, despite a very strong academic record. The Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground is the training ground and academy base of English football club, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. It is located in the Compton area of Wolverhampton. The modern two-storey building stands approximately one mile to the west of the club's home stadium Molineux. It features five high-quality under-soil heated training pitches, eleven changing rooms, a fully equipped gymnasium, and a hydrotherapy pool – one of only a handful of English clubs to own such equipment. The Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) is a youth development scheme initiated by the Premier League. The intention of the EPPP is to improve the quality and quantity of home-grown players produced by top English clubs. Measures introduced by the EPPP to free up movement of younger players by establishing a hierarchy of association football academies in England and fixing the transfer fees between academies have proved controversial and some smaller clubs closed their academies in response to the changes.
