Wojciech Zabłocki
Wojciech Mikołaj Zabłocki (6 December 1930 – 5 December 2020) was a Polish architect and fencer, specialist in the saber modality. Sports career Zabłocki participated in four Olympic Games: 1952 Helsinki, 1956 Melbourne, 1960 Rome, 1964 Tokyo and won two silver (1956, 1960) and one bronze medal (1964) in team sabre fencing. He participated in the FIE World Championships in Fencing and won four gold (team: 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963), one silver (team: 1954) and four bronze medals (individual: 1961; team: 1953, 1957, 1958). Zabłocki won the Polish fencing championships five times. He was a member of MKS Katowice, Budowlani Kraków, Krakowski Klub Szermierzy (KKSz) and Marymont Warszawa teams. Silesian Insurgents Monument
The Silesian Insurgents Memorial () in Katowice, southern Poland, it is a monument to those who took part in the three Silesian Uprisings of 1919, 1920 and 1921. These uprisings aimed to make the region of Upper Silesia part of the newly independent Polish state. It is located nearby to the Spodek. The monument was unveiled on 1 September 1967, and was designed by sculptor Gustaw Zemła and architect Wojciech Zabłocki. The wings symbolize the three uprisings, and the names of places where battles were fought are etched on the vertical slopes. WIEM Encyklopedia (full name in - "Great Interactive Multimedia Encyclopedia"; in Polish, ''wiem'' also means 'I know') is a Polish Internet encyclopedia. The encyclopedia was based on the first printed edition was released in mid-1990s (with Volume I of ''Popularna Encyklopedia Powszechna - Popular General Encyclopedia -'' released in 1994; 20 volumes and a supplement were released in total) with the second in 1998 (under the name ''Multimedialna'' ''Encyklopedia Powszechna'' - Multimedia Popular Encyclopedia).
