The 32nd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the southern half of Walworth County as well as a portion of western Kenosha County. It includes the cities of Delavan and Lake Geneva, as well as the villages of East Troy, Fontana-on-Geneva Lake, Genoa City, Sharon, and Walworth. It also contains the Big Foot Beach State Park, the Geneva National Golf Club, and Grand Geneva Resort Airport. The seat is represented by Republican Tyler August since January 2011. Grand Geneva Resort Airport, is a privately owned public use airport located 2 miles (3 km) northeast of the central business district of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, a city in Walworth County, Wisconsin, United States. This airport is assigned C02 by the FAA and XES by the IATA but has no designation from the International Civil Aviation Organization. James Stewart (Wisconsin Politician)
James McBride "Jim" Stewart (March 20, 1936November 26, 2021) was a Scottish American immigrant, U.S. Army officer, and Republican politician from Whitewater, Wisconsin. He served one term in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 32nd Assembly district during the 1983–1984 term. He also served over 40 years on the Whitewater School Board. Early life and military career James Stewart was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland, in 1936. His childhood was largely influenced by witnessing the effects of World War II in Scotland. After the war, he emigrated to the United States with his parents and sister, settling in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1950. Stewart graduated from Edgewood High School of the Sacred Heart, a private Catholic school in Madison, and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1959. Dismas Becker
Dismas Becker (September 16, 1936 – September 19, 2010) was an American Democratic politician, civil rights activist, and former Discalced Carmelite friar and Catholic priest from Wisconsin. Life and career Born Paul Vincent Becker in 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, after graduating from high school he entered the Order of Discalced Carmelites, where he received the religious name of Dismas, named for the Good Thief depicted in the New Testament at the Crucifixion of Jesus. He had his name changed legally in 1986. He graduated from St. Francis Seminary, becoming ordained a priest in 1964, and later earned a Master's degree in Sociology from Marquette University. In 1969, Becker became involved with the Rev. James Groppi, a fellow Catholic priest and activist leader in the city, in planning a demonstration at the State Capitol to demand action on welfare rights and school reform demands made by the state’s poorest communities. The 11th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Walworth County, the eastern half of Rock County, the southern half of Jefferson County, and part of western Kenosha County.
