Wisconsin Assembly, District 24
The 24th Assembly district of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of southeast Washington County and northeast Waukesha County. It includes the villages of Menomonee Falls and Lannon, and the southern half of the village of Germantown. The district is represented by Republican Dan Knodl, since January 2025. Knodl previously was this district's representative from January 2009 to May 2023. The 24th Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 8th Senate district, along with the 22nd and 23rd Assembly districts. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Grafton (town), Wisconsin
The Town of Grafton is a town located in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, United States, and is in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The town was created in 1846 and at the time of the 2020 Census had a population of 4,157. Grafton is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. German and Irish immigrants first settled in Grafton in the 1840s. Their centers of settlement became the unincorporated communities of Lakefield and Ulao, as well as the Village of Grafton, which is partially located in the town. History The first Europeans to visit the area were the Jesuit missionaries Claude-Jean Allouez and Claude Bablon, who visited a Native American village on the Milwaukee River near the future site of Grafton around the year 1670. Paul Melotik
Paul D. Melotik (born February 27, 1957) is an American accountant, businessman, and Republican politician from Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 22nd Assembly district since 2025; he previously represented the 24th Assembly district from August 2023 to January 2025. He also previously served as a member of the Ozaukee County Board of Supervisors, representing most of the town of Grafton. Early life and career Melotik was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin. He went on to attend Carroll University, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and business management in 1979. Suzanne Jeskewitz (born February 21, 1942) is a former Wisconsin legislator and politician. Born in Galesville, Wisconsin, Jeskewitz graduated from Gale-Ettrick High School and then received her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Lolita Schneiders
Lolita Schneiders (March 3, 1931 – November 12, 2022) was an American politician, teacher, and businesswoman who served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. Early life and education Born in Chicago, Illinois, Schneiders went to Lourdes High School and Mundelein College in Chicago. She then received her bachelor's degree in education from University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. Career Schneiders worked as a saleswomen, teacher, and insurance agent in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. She served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1981 until 1997 as a Republican. After leaving the Assembly, Schneiders served on the University of Wisconsin–Madison Board of Regents. Margaret Ann "Peggy" Krusick (born October 26, 1956) is a retired American Democratic politician from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for nearly thirty years (1983–2013), representing southwest wards of the city of Milwaukee and neighboring areas. She lost her seat to a primary challenge from Daniel Riemer in the 2012 assembly elections due to her stances on certain issues.
