Wisconsin Assembly, District 21
The 21st Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district covers the southeast corner of Milwaukee County, including all of the suburban cities of Oak Creek and South Milwaukee, as well as a few blocks of the neighboring city of Franklin. The district is represented by Republican Jessie Rodriguez, since winning a special election in November 2013. The 21st Assembly district is located within Wisconsin's 7th Senate district, along with the 19th and 20th Assembly districts. History The district was created in the 1972 redistricting act1971 Wisc. Act 304 which first established the numbered district system, replacing the previous system which allocated districts to specific counties. Mark Honadel
Mark R. Honadel (born March 29, 1956) is a Wisconsin welder and independent businessman, a former professional metal fabricator, welding instructor, industrial manager, and was a Republican politician and legislator. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Honadel was raised in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1974. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and Marquette University. Honadel was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in July 2003 in a special election, and was re-elected in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. He represented South Milwaukee and surrounding areas. Honadel served as Majority Caucus Chairperson in 2007. In 2013 Honadel resigned from the Assembly for an undisclosed job in the private sector. Jeffrey Plale
Jeffrey T. Plale (May 31, 1968 – July 2, 2022) was an American politician and stockbroker. Plale served as the Wisconsin Railroad Commissioner. Earlier in his career he represented South Milwaukee in the Wisconsin State Senate (2003–2011) and Wisconsin State Assembly (1996–2003). Background and career Born in South Milwaukee in 1968, Plale graduated from South Milwaukee High School. He worked as a stockbroker at Strong Capital Management from 1988 to 1996. He earned a B.A. in communications and public relations from Marquette University in 1990, and an M.A. in the same field in 1992. He was a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) when he was a legislator. Plale was a Catholic. He and his former wife had two children. Richard Grobschmidt
Richard Grobschmidt (May 3, 1948July 23, 2016) was an American educator and former Democratic politician from South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He served five terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1985–1995) and parts of three terms in the Wisconsin State Senate (1995–2003), before resigning to take a position with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Background Grobschmidt was born in Milwaukee on May 3, 1948, to Chester W. Grobschmidt and Leone Grobschmidt. His father was mayor of South Milwaukee from 1966 to 1994. Caledonia, Wisconsin
Caledonia is a village in Racine County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 25,361 at the 2020 census. The residential community of Franksville is located within the village. Franksville is a former census-designated place. The residential neighborhood of Husher is also located within the village. History Prior to January 2006, Caledonia was a town. After the state government denied Caledonia's request to become a village, the state legislature enacted a special exemption, allowing Caledonia to proceed.
