Willie Marcial
Wilfrido "Willie" O. Marcial (born October 12, 1961) is a Filipino sports executive who serves as the tenth commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association. He became the league's officer-in-charge after Chito Narvasa resigned on December 31, 2017. On January 25, 2018, he was appointed by the PBA Board of Governors as the 10th commissioner of the league. PBA career Marcial, a native of Batangas, started as a statistician in during the time of former PBA Commissioner Leo Prieto. Chito Narvasa
Andres "Chito" Yuseco Narvasa Jr. (born October 18, 1956) is a Filipino business executive and former basketball player and coach. He is best known as the ninth commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association. Personal life He is the son of Andres Narvasa, a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, and Janina Yuseco. He is also the brother of former MBA and PBL commissioner Ogie Narvasa. Basketball Narvasa, along with his brother, Ogie, played for the Ateneo Blue Eagles. The Narvasa brothers were also part of the Philippine national teams of 1977 and 1978. They jointly coached the Blue Eagles from the early to late 1980s. Leopoldo Legarda Prieto, Sr. (May 19, 1920 – April 7, 2009) was a Filipino sports executive who served as the first commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Prieto also was a president of the Manila Jockey Club and a supporter of football in the Philippines. Acknowledged as "the father of the PBA", Prieto was named commissioner of the PBA upon its founding in 1975 and served in that capacity until his resignation in 1983. During Prieto's tenure as commissioner, the PBA prominently featured the rivalry between Crispa and Toyota. Prieto was lauded for his integrity and his ability to manage egos. Prieto himself described the requirements expected of a PBA commissioner as one "must have a good grasp of the game" and one who "the PBA Board of Governors can trust and respect." Vintage Television (VTV) (officially known as Vintage Enterprises, Inc. and mostly known as Vintage Sports) was a Philippine media company and was best known as the TV coverage partner of Philippine Basketball Association from 1982 to 1999. Jose Emmanuel "Noli" Macasaet Eala is a Filipino sports executive and disbarred lawyer who served as the 11th chairperson of the Philippine Sports Commission from August 30 to December 28, 2022. He previously served as the sixth commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association from 2003 to 2007. Before he became the commissioner of the league, he was a play-by-play commentator of Viva-Vintage Sports, which broadcasts the PBA Games, from the early 1990s until 2002.
