Wiktor Weintraub (April 10, 1908 – July 14, 1988) was a Polish historian who specialized in history of Polish literature. Born in a Polish Jewish family, Weintraub fled Poland during World War II. Wiktor Unander
Wiktor Axel Unander (18 December 1872 – 20 September 1967) was a Swedish Army officer who also served in the French Army in Algeria and in the Ottoman Army in the Balkans. He also served in the Swedish foreign service as diplomatic agent and consul general in Egypt and as consul in Zagreb. Early life Unander was born on 18 December 1872 in Yttertavle, Sweden, the son of secretary Ph.D. Ferdinand Unander and his wife Fanny (née Scharin). Wiktor Tołkin
Wiktor Tołkin (February 21, 1922 in Tołkacze, Poland – May 7, 2013) was a Polish sculptor and architect. A member of the Armia Krajowa resistance during World War II; he was arrested by the Gestapo, and incarcerated at Auschwitz from November 17, 1942, to February 1944. During this period Tołkin survived a death march to Stalag at Sandbostel. Work Tołkin graduated from two universities, the Gdańsk Polytechnic, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, to become one of the more influential Polish artists of the 1960s. He is best known for his monumental sculptures built in memory of the victims of the German concentration camps in Stutthof and Majdanek. Wiktor Thommée
Wiktor Thommée (1881–1962) was a Polish military commander and a brigadier general of the Polish Army. A veteran of the Great War and the Russian Civil War, he is best known for his command over Piotrków Operational Group and the battle of the Bzura during the Invasion of Poland of 1939. Early life Wiktor Thommée was born 30 December 1881 in Sventiany, Russian Empire (modern Švenčionys, Lithuania), to a Polish family of distant French provenance. After graduating from trade schools in Lida and Dyneburg (modern Daugavpils, Latvia), in 1901 he joined an officers' school in St. Petersburg. In 1904 he graduated and received the grade of second lieutenant, after which he was attached to the Voronezh-based 124th Infantry Regiment. Wiktor Szelągowski (1900–1935) was a Polish rower. Szelągowski attended gymnasium in Włocławek. Shortly after graduating he joined the army for the Polish–Soviet War. He was injured and was a prisoner of war for several months. After his recovery, he again followed his passion for sport and joined the Włocławek Rowing Association. He competed at a national level from 1925. For five continuous years from 1929 he was Polish national champion in the coxed pair with Henryk Grabowski as his rowing partner. He was also national vice-champion with Grabowski in the coxless pair. Wiktor Zygmunt Przedpełski
Wiktor Zygmunt Przedpełski (born 2 or 3 June 1891, Krasne (Przasnysz County), died 5 August 1941, New York) was a Polish socialist and independence activist, member of the Sejm. Life In 1908 he passed his final exams at the Real School of Witold Wróbleski in Warsaw, after which he joined the Faculty of Chemistry at the Lviv Polytechnic, where in 1924 he obtained the title of engineer. After 1907, Przedpełski belonged to the PPS-Left. In 1914 he was arrested in the Kingdom of Poland and deported to the Tobol Province. In the years 1917-1919 he was active in the Polish independence movement in Russia. In 1919, he returned from exile and fought as a volunteer in the Defense of Lwów, where he earned a number of military distinctions.
