Westcott is a village and civil parishes in England, civil parish in the unitary authority area of Buckinghamshire, England, about west of Waddesdon. The Toponymy, toponym is derived from the Old English for "west cottage". The Church of England parish church of Veneration of Mary in Roman Catholicism, St Mary the Virgin was designed by the Diocese of Oxford, Oxford Diocesan architect George Edmund Street, G.E. Street and built in 1867. It is a Listed building#Categories of listed building, Grade II* listed building. In the 20th century Westcott was the site of the Rocket Propulsion Establishment, which was on the former RAF Westcott airfield to the west of the main village. The Westcott House is a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Prairie Style house in Springfield, Ohio. The house was built in 1908 for Mr. Burton J. Westcott, his wife Orpha, and their family. The Westcott property is the only Prairie style house designed by Wright in the state of Ohio. The grounds include the main house and a garage with stables connected by an extensive pergola. Early history In 1903, as part of a merger, Burton J. Westcott came to Springfield, Ohio as Treasurer of Oliver Farm Equipment Company#American Seeding Machine Company, The American Seeding Machine Company. He would hold the position for 21 years.
