West Lima, Wisconsin
West Lima is an unincorporated community in the Town of Bloom, Richland County, Wisconsin, United States. The community is located at the intersection of County Highway A and County Highway D. History In its heyday West Lima had 700 residents, a teachers' hotel, a brick schoolhouse built in 1920, a post office, a cheese factory, blacksmiths, two milliners, a flour mill, a furniture store, and a hardware store. By the early 1990s its buildings were abandoned and fallen into disrepair. In 1991 several buildings in West Lima were acquired by Xexoxial Endarchy, Ltd., a nonprofit arts and education organization, for use as an intentional community known as Dreamtime Village. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Peter Lamborn Wilson
Peter Lamborn Wilson (October 20, 1945 – May 23, 2022) was an American anarchist author and poet, primarily known for his concept of Temporary Autonomous Zones, short-lived spaces which elude formal structures of control. During the 1970s, Wilson lived in the Middle East, where he explored mysticism and translated Persian texts. Starting from the 1980s he wrote (under the pen name of ''Hakim Bey'') numerous political writings, illustrating his theory of "ontological anarchy". His style of anarchism has drawn criticism for its emphasis on individualism and mysticism, as did some of his writings where he defended pederasty. Hunter Doherty "Patch" Adams (born May 28, 1945) is an American physician, comedian, social activist, clown, and author. He founded the Gesundheit! Institute in 1971. Bloom is a town in Richland County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 487 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Bloom City and West Lima are located within the Town of Bloom. The unincorporated community of Ash Ridge is also located partially in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.1 square miles (93.5 km2), all of it land.
