OrangeAcademy is a professional basketball club based in Weißenhorn, Germany. The team currently plays in the ProA, the second highest professional division in Germany. OrangeAcademy plays its home games at the Dreifachturnhalle, which has a capacity of 1,200 people. The club serves as development team of the Basketball Bundesliga side Ratiopharm Ulm, which sends its young players to the team on loan. ProA
The ProA is the German basketball league system, second-tier Sports league, league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 16 teams. Officially the ProA is part of the ''2. Basketball Bundesliga'', which consists of the two hierarchical leagues ''ProA'' and ''ProB''. Before the 2007–08 season, the ''2. Basketball Bundesliga'' was a basketball league with the same name, which consisted of two geographical divisions. At the end of the league stage, the top two teams qualify for the Basketball Bundesliga, and the teams positioned 15th and 16th are Promotion and relegation, relegated to the lower league, ProB. Andrija Grbović
Andrija Grbović ( sr-Cyrl, Андрија Грбовић; born 16 September 2003) is a Montenegrin professional basketball player for KK Budućnost Podgorica of the ABA League and the Prva A Liga. Standing at and weighing , he plays both small forward and power forward positions. Early life and career Grbović was a member of Vizura prior he joined OrangeAcademy based in Ulm, Germany and affiliated to Ratiopharm Ulm in 2018. Afterwards, he joined the Mega Basket youth system in 2021. At the 2021–22 Junior ABA League, he averaged 22 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. His team won the Junior ABA League that season, while he was named the Junior ABA League MVP and received the Junior ABA League Ideal Starting Five selection. Neu-Ulm is a Districts of Germany, ''Landkreis'' (district) in Swabia (Bavaria), Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. Jeremy Sochan
Jeremy Juliusz Sochan ( ; born May 20, 2003) is a Polish-American professional basketball player for the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Poland national team. Born in the United States to a Polish mother and an American father, he was raised in England, where he played youth basketball. Sochan moved to the United States to attend La Lumiere School, then started his professional career in Germany with OrangeAcademy of the ProB in 2020. He played college basketball for the Baylor Bears during the 2021–22 season and was selected ninth overall by the Spurs in the 2022 NBA draft. The 2017–18 ProA was the 11th season of the ProA, the second level of basketball in Germany. The champions and the runners-up of the play-offs are promoted to the 2018–19 Basketball Bundesliga. Weißenhorn is a Town#Germany, town in the Neu-Ulm (district), district of Neu-Ulm in Bavaria. Weißenhorn is located about 22 km southeast of Ulm.
