Wayne Anderson (born October 8, 1946) is an American former professional stock car racing driver and team owner who competed in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour from 1985 to 2008. He is a former champion of the series, having previously won the championship in 1994 while driving for Len Boehler. Yaphank () is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 5,945 at the time of the 2010 census. Yaphank is located in the south part of the Town of Brookhaven. It is served by the Longwood Central School District, except for extreme southwestern Yaphank, which is served by the South Country Central School District. In the 1930s, Yaphank was a center of American Nazism where Camp Siegfried drew up to a thousand weekly visitors from New York City for pro-Nazi rallies and vacationing. History Captain Robert Robinson came to Yaphank and built his Dutch Colonial house with the building dated at 1726. He was then granted permission to dam the Carmans River to build a mill across the street from his house. The construction of this mill in 1739 was considered the founding date of the Hamlet of Yaphank. Star Speedway is a short-track oval race track located in Epping, New Hampshire. It hosts a tour-type modified stock car racing division under the management of the Webber family. History Star Speedway opened in 1966, having been primarily built by Charlie Elliot, a contractor, restaurant owner, and car enthusiast from nearby Dover, New Hampshire. The prior year, Elliot had gone into business with Kendall C. Smith and local journalist Russ Conway to build a race track on what had formerly been Star Brick Yard in Epping, New Hampshire. Elliot, Smith, and Conway sold their interests in the track by late 1983, when they purchased Lee Raceway (later known as Lee USA Speedway) in nearby Lee, New Hampshire.
