Sir Samuel James Way, 1st Baronet, (11 April 1836 – 8 January 1916) was an English-Australian jurist who served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia from 18 March 1876 until 8 January 1916. Background Way was born in Portsmouth, England. Reverend James Way, his father, was a clergyman in the Bible Christian Church, who emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia in 1850 along with his wife and four younger children to establish a mission. Sir Richard George Kitchener Way (15 September 1914 – 2 October 1998), commonly known as Sam Way, was a British civil servant, Chairman of London Transport and Principal of King's College London. Way left school at 18 and joined the War Office as an executive officer working in the finance department of the ministry in London and Hong Kong. From 1949 to 1952 he worked with the British Army of the Rhine organising the army's civilian workforce. In 1955, Way was promoted to Deputy Secretary, and, in 1956, was recommended for the post of Permanent Under-Secretary. Pete Way
Peter Frederick Way (7 August 1950 – 14 August 2020) was an English bassist. He was the co-founder and original bassist of the rock band UFO from 1968 to 1982; he briefly rejoined the band in 1988–1989 and full-time from 1991 to 2008. He was also a founding member of Waysted and Fastway and notably played with Michael Schenker Group and Ozzy Osbourne. Career Pete Way grew up in Enfield, London. Kelly-Ann Way (born September 18, 1964) is a Canadian retired track cyclist and road bicycle racer. Life and career Way was born in Windsor, Ontario, on September 18, 1964, and began cycling at the age of seven and in 1975 she joined the Windsor Bicycle Club. She became a member of the Canadian National Cycling Team in 1983. She studied at the University of Windsor between 1983 and 1987 and graduated with a Bachelor with Honours in Human Kinetics. Rev. James Way (17 June 1804 – 14 August 1884) was a Bible Christian minister in the early days of the colony of South Australia, and for whom Way College was named. He was the father of Sir Samuel Way. History Way was born in Morchard Bishop, Devon, and entered the ministry in 1826 and was elected President of the English Conference in 1847. Isabel E. Stewart Way (August 2, 1904 – September 23, 1978) was an American writer based in Azusa, California. Her first novel was ''Seed of the Land'' (1935).
