Wales Green Party
The Wales Green Party () is an autonomous section of the Green Party of England and Wales (GPEW) covering Wales. The Wales Green Party puts up candidates for council, Senedd, and UK Parliament seats. Since 2018, the Wales Green Party has been lead by Anthony Slaughter. Organisation, leadership and representation The current Leader of the Wales Green Party is Anthony Slaughter, with Phil Davies and Linda Rogers as co-deputy leaders. Wales-wide decisions are taken by the Wales Green Party Council, which is composed of the spokespeople, elected officers, and a representative from each local party. As of 2023, the Wales Green Party is represented internally within the GPEW by Adam Turner and John Matthews, on the Green Party of England and Wales#Regional Council, Green Party Regional Council (GPRC). Anthony Slaughter
Anthony David Slaughter is a politician who has been the leader of the Wales Green Party since December 2018. He previously served as Deputy Leader from 2014 to 2015. In 2024 Slaughter was appointed as the President of Wales for Europe. He has previously been a candidate for general, local authority and town council seats. Slaughter regularly appears in the media on behalf of the party to discuss political issues including BBC Radio Wales and S4C. Personal life Slaughter was born in Yorkshire and stated in 2021 that he had lived in "Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan for the last 17 years". He has worked as a garden designer and landscaper. Scottish Greens
The Scottish Greens (also known as the Scottish Green Party; ) are a green political party in Scotland. The party has 7 MSPs of 129 in the Scottish Parliament, the party holds 35 of the 1226 councillors at Scottish local Government level. They held two ministerial posts in the first Yousaf government following a power-sharing agreement with the SNP from August 2021 until the end of the Bute House Agreement in April 2024, marking the first time Green Party politicians formed part of a government in the UK. Denbigh ( ; ) is a market town and a community (Wales), community in Denbighshire, Wales. It was the original county town of the Denbighshire (historic), historic county of Denbighshire created in 1536.
