Wafadar Momand
Wafadar Momand (born 5 October 1999) is an Afghan cricketer. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. Domestic career He made his List A debut for Boost Region in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament on 11 August 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Band-e-Amir Dragons in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 15 September 2017. International career In December 2017, he was named in Afghanistan's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. In May 2018, he was named in Afghanistan's squad for their inaugural Test match, played against India. He made his Test debut against India, on 14 June 2018. Laghman Province
Laghman (Persian language, Persian/Pashto: ) is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the eastern part of the country. It has a population of about 502,148, which is multi-ethnic and mostly a rural society. 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in New Zealand from 13 January till 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the U19 World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand after the 2002 and the 2010 events. New Zealand became the first country to host the event thrice. Afghan Cricket Team In Bangladesh In 2023
The Afghanistan cricket team toured Bangladesh in June and July 2023 to play one Test, three One Day International (ODI) and two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed this FTP tour in their press release. Initially, Afghanistan were scheduled to play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is in the series. However, on 11 May 2023, a Test and a T20I was dropped from the itinerary, due to scheduling problems. On 17 May 2023, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the dates and venues for the series. Twenty20 International
Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings. The 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the fourth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Bangladesh between 14 and 23 November 2019. The Ireland cricket team toured India in February and March 2019 to play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a Test match against the Afghanistan cricket team. The 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the third edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Karachi, Pakistan and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Eight teams participated in the tournament including five under-23 age level teams of Test nations and top three teams from 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier.
