The NWA World League Wrestling (WLW) Heavyweight Championship, is a professional wrestling championship in Independent circuit, independent professional wrestling promotion World League Wrestling, NWA World League Wrestling. It is the promotion's primary championship. The championship is generally contested in Professional wrestling match types, professional wrestling matches, in which participants execute Screenplay, scripted finishes rather than contend in Competition#Sports, direct competition. Some reigns were held by champions using a ring name while others use their Personal name, real name. Moses is the current champion in his first reign. It was established in 1999 by former World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race. The promotion is part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)'s territory system. Bruce Franklin Reed (July 11, 1954 – February 5, 2021) was an American professional wrestler and football player, better known by the ring name Butch Reed. He played college football at the University of Central Missouri, was a star in Mid-South Wrestling and had high-profile tag team matches in the World Wrestling Federation (such as the first Survivor Series main event) and World Championship Wrestling (where he held the championship with Ron Simmons, as Doom).
