Vovchansk
Vovchansk ( uk, Вовчанськ, ) is a Ukrainian city in Chuhuiv Raion of Kharkiv Oblast (province). It hosts the administration of Vovchansk hromada (urban settlement), one of the hromadas of Ukraine. FC Vovchansk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Вовчанськ») is a Ukraine, Ukrainian football (soccer), football club from Vovchansk. The club represents a local machine-building and equipment factory. Vovchansk is a Ukrainian adaption and official name of the city where the club is from, while the club calls itself only in Russian manner Volchansk. Vovchansk Raion () was a raion (district) in Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center was the town of Vovchansk. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kharkiv Oblast to seven. The area of Vovchansk Raion was, together with Pechenihy and Zmiiv Raions, merged into Chuhuiv Raion. Chuhuiv Raion () is a ''raion'' (district) in Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine. Its administrative center is the city of Chuhuiv. Alexandra Gavrilovna Snezhko-Blotskaya (Russian: Александра Гавриловна Снежко-Блоцкая, 21 February 1909 in Volchansk, Russian Empire – 29 December 1980 in Moscow Oblast, Soviet Union) was a Soviet animated film director. She was a longtime collaborator with Ivan Ivanov-Vano. Biography Snezhko-Blotskaya was born in Volchansk near Kharkov (modern Ukraine), before her family moved to Shatura, near Moscow. There she graduated from art studios of Ivan Rerberg and Ilya Mashkov. Snezhko-Blotskaya started her film career as designer for Soyuzkinokhronika in 1932. Since 1936, she became a constant collaborator and aide to Ivan Ivanov-Vano, a patriarch of Russian animation. Snezhko-Blotskaya participated as a co-director in many of his films including famous The Humpbacked Horse and The Snow Maiden. Orest Mikhailovich Somov (Russian and uk, Орест Михайлович Сомов, romanized Ukrainian standard: ''Orest Mykhailovych Somov/Somiv'') ( – ) was a Russian romantic writer of Ukrainian origin. He studied at Kharkiv University, where he became an admirer of Romantic literature and Gothic fiction. In 1817 he moved to Saint Petersburg where he continued his literary career.
