Vlaams Belang Jongeren
''Vlaams Belang Jongeren'' (VBJ; Dutch for "Flemish Interest Youth") is the youth wing of the Vlaams Belang party. Until the conviction of the Vlaams Blok in 2004, the organisation was called Vlaams Blok Jongeren. When the party changed its name, so did the youth wing. The current chairman of VBJ is Filip Brusselmans, he replaced Bart Claes in 2020. VBJ is a Flemish nationalist and conservative organisation that aims to group youth who want to contribute to the political program of Vlaams Belang. It claims to defend European values and culture. Many of its members also have ties to Flemish nationalist and conservative youth and student organizations such as the Nationalistische Studentenvereniging (NSV) and the Katholiek Vlaams Hoogstudentenverbond (KVHV). Under the presidency of Tom Van Grieken VBJ was one of the founding members of YEAH or Young European Alliance for Hope. Flemish Movement
The Flemish Movement ( nl, Vlaamse Beweging) is an umbrella term which encompasses various political groups in the Belgian region of Flanders and, less commonly, in French Flanders. Ideologically, it encompasses groups which have sought to promote Flemish culture and Dutch language as well as those who have sought greater political autonomy for Flanders within Belgium. Filip Brusselmans
Filip Brusselmans (born 30 October 1997) is a Belgian politician and political activist. Early life Brusselmans was born in Sint-Niklaas. He studied political science at the University of Antwerp where he became active in the Katholiek Vlaams Hoogstudentenverbond. Career Since 2019, Brusselmans has been a member of the Flemish Parliament for Vlaams Belang and is currently the youngest representative to serve in the Flemish Parliament. Bart Claes
Bart Claes (born 8 April 1989) is a Belgian politician who has been a member of the Flemish parliament for the Flemish nationalist Vlaams Belang party since 2019. Biography Claes studied law at the University of Antwerp and the University of Ghent. During his studies he was a member of the Nationalistische Studentenvereniging and the New Flemish Alliance party. In 2014 he left the N-VA due to disagreeing with the course of the party and joined Vlaams Belang. After graduating, Claes worked for Katoen Natie. Reccino Van Lommel
Reccino Van Lommel (born 30 May 1986) is a Belgian politician and a member of the Chamber of Representatives for Vlaams Belang since 2019. Biography Van Lommel studied commercial engineering at the University of Hasselt. Hans Beatrijs Herman Verreyt (born 3 July, 1980) is a Belgian politician and an MP in the Chamber of Representatives for Vlaams Belang. Verreyt worked as a web designer before entering politics.
