Virotia Francii
''Virotia'' is a genus of six species of flowering plants in the family Proteaceae. The genus is endemic to New Caledonia with six species that were once placed in ''Macadamia''.Virot, R. (1967). Its closest relatives are the Australian ''Athertonia'' and the Asian ''Heliciopsis''. Genus ( plural genera ) is a taxonomic rank used in the biological classification of extant taxon, living and fossil organisms as well as Virus classification#ICTV classification, viruses.
