Valley Stream North High School (VSNHS) is a combined public junior and senior high school located in the hamlet of Franklin Square, New York in southwest Nassau County on Long Island. Valley Stream North High School is one of three high schools in the Valley Stream Central High School District. Like Valley Stream South High School, Valley Stream North High School is a combined junior-senior high school that educates grades seven through twelve. Students who attend Valley Stream North High School are mainly graduates of the local Franklin Square, North Valley Stream, and Elmont elementary schools, including Willow Road Elementary School, James A. Franklin Square, New York
Franklin Square is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Nassau County, New York, United States. The hamlet is an unincorporated area in the Town of Hempstead. The population was 29,320 at the 2010 census. The area was originally known as Trimming Square and then as Washington Square. History What is now Franklin Square was near the center of the Hempstead Plains, and used as grazing land, and later farmland, by the first white settlers. The southern portion included oak and dogwood forests. In late 1643, Robert Fordham and John Carman made a treaty with members of the Massapequak, Mericoke, Matinecock and Rockaway tribes to buy roughly 100 square miles upon which they intended to start a new settlement. ''Godspell'' is a musical composed by Stephen Schwartz with book by John-Michael Tebelak. The show is structured as a series of parables, primarily based on the Gospel of Matthew, interspersed with music mostly set to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ appearing briefly near the end. Rick Shutter
Rick Shutter is an American drummer and percussionist. He performed in the band for the original New York production of ''Godspell'' at the age of 19 and for the soundtracks of the play and subsequent film adaptation. He has also been credited as Ricky Shutter and Riki Shutter. Career Shutter began playing the drums at the age of 8, and in 1964, at the age of 13, he joined The Young Executives (also known as The Executives), a trio of young teenagers from Malverne, New York. Entertainment manager Steve Paul described the musicians as "twelve-year-old kids dressed in business suits". The band was signed by Mercury Records and its 1966 single, ''Everybody Do the Duck'', broke into the national ''Billboard Hot 100'' chart. The B-side was "Come On In Baby".
