Valeriya (russian: Валерия) is a stage name of Alla Yurievna Perfilova (russian: Алла Юрьевна Перфилова, born April 17, 1968 in Atkarsk), a Russian singer and fashion model. Valeriya, who is a recipient of the titles People's Artist of Russia (2013) and People's Artist of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (2016), has also won numerous awards, including Golden Gramophone (thirteen), Pesnya goda (thirteen), Muz-TV (four: Best Performer in 2004, 2010 and 2015, Best Video, 2014), and MTV Russia Music Awards (two, Best Performer, 2004, Best Song, 2005). She has been a member of the Council for Culture and Art under the President of the Russian Federation since 2012. Russia In The Eurovision Song Contest 2009
Russia participated in and hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow after winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song " Believe" performed by Dima Bilan. The Russian entry was selected through a national final, organised by the Russian broadcaster Channel One Russia (C1R). Anastasia Prikhodko represented Russia with the song "Mamo", which scored 91 points in the final and finished in 11th place. Before Eurovision Evrovidenie 2009 - Nacionalny Otbor ''Evrovidenie 2009 - Nacionalny Otbor'' was the fifth edition of Evrovidenie, the music competition that selects Russia's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest. Stas Piekha
Stanislav Pyatrasovich "Stas" Piekha (russian: Станислав Пятрасович "Стас" Пьеха), is a Russian popular singer and actor, and the grandson of Edita Piekha. Early life Piekha was born on 13 August 1980, the grandson of Edita Piekha and the son of Ilona Bronevitskaya, who were both famous USSR popular singers. His father, Petras Gerulis, was a Lithuanian jazz musician. As a young boy, Piekha spent time on tour with his grandmother while his mother pursued her solo career. At the age of 7, at his grandmother's insistence, his last name was formally changed from Gerulis to Piekha and he was enrolled in the Choir Singing Glinka College in Leningrad to study the piano and choral singing. Muz-TV
Muz-TV (russian: Муз-ТВ, from Музыкальное телевидение - Music Television) is a Russian music TV channel, broadcasting since 1996. It is largely modelled after western MTV and predates launching of MTV Russia in 1998. Muz-TV was founded by Sergey Lisovskiy. The general director of Muz-TV is Arman Davletarov. Simply Red are a British soul and pop band formed in Manchester in 1985.
