Vítor Luís Pereira da Silva (born 4 November 1959), simply known as Vítor, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Career He began his career at Flamengo, a club where he managed to achieve great success, sharing in the achievements of the early 1980s. In 1983, with Andrade injury, he was a fundamental player in the Brazilian title. He earned the nickname " Beckenbauer de Portela" due to his style of play. During his career, he managed to play for the four main clubs in Rio de Janeiro, being Rio champion at Vasco and Botafogo. He ended his career at Campo Grande AC in the 90s. International career Vítor was part of the Olympic team of Brazil in 1979, being champion of the San Juan Pan American Games, and of the 1980 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament this time without repeating the success and not qualifying for Moscow. Jorge Luís Andrade da Silva (born 21 April 1957), known as Andrade, is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career for Flamengo in the 1970s and '80s, where he won several trophies, including four national championships and the Copa Libertadores. As a coach, Andrade won the 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro with Flamengo. Career From 1977 to 1987 he played for Flamengo, taking part in the club's Golden Age and winning four Rio de Janeiro State Championships, three Brazilian Championships (1980, 1982, 1983), the 1981 Copa Libertadores and the 1981 Intercontinental Cup. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. 1981 Intercontinental Cup
The 1981 Intercontinental Cup was an association football match between Liverpool of England and Flamengo of Brazil on 13 December 1981 at the National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. The annual Intercontinental Cup was contested between the winners of the European Cup and Copa Libertadores. Flamengo qualified for the Intercontinental Cup for the first time following their Copa Libertadores Cup success. Liverpool were also appearing in their first Intercontinental Cup.
