About the relation between the song titles and modern-day issues, guitarist/bassist Buster Odeholm explained, "When you watch the news and you see and hear the way we are going as the human race – it's kinda like 'yeah this is definitely not positive'. If I'm on a podcast or just walking on the street and see something, I can suddenly just get a sentence in my head. And if that resonates with me, I always feel like I want to express that via music. That’s where a lot of these song titles come from." Humanity's Last Breath promoted the album by supporting Jinjer in September and October 2021 and embarking on a European tour with Reflections and Cabal A cabal is a g ...

Doom Metal
Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much "thicker" or "heavier" sound than other heavy metal genres.K. Kahn-Harris, ''Extreme Metal: Music and Culture on the Edge'' (Berg Publishers, 2007), , p. 31. Both the music and the lyrics are intended to evoke a sense of despair, dread, and impending doom. The genre is strongly influenced by the early work of Black Sabbath, who formed a prototype for doom metal. During the first half of the 1980s, a number of bands such as Witchfinder General and Pagan Altar from England, American bands Pentagram, Saint Vitus, the Obsessed, Trouble, and Cirith Ungol, and Swedish band Candlemass defined doom metal as a distinct genre. Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Trouble and Candlemass have been referred to as "the Big Four of Doom Metal". Characteristics Instrumentation The electric guitar, bass guitar, and drum kit are the most common instruments used to play doom meta ...

Atmospheric Black Metal
Black metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music. Common traits include fast tempos, a shrieking vocal style, heavily distorted guitars played with tremolo picking, raw (lo-fi) recording, unconventional song structures, and an emphasis on atmosphere. Artists often appear in corpse paint and adopt pseudonyms. Venom initiated the " first wave" of black metal, with their 1982 album ''Black Metal'' giving it its name. In the following years, the style was developed by Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Hellhammer and Celtic Frost. By 1987, this wave had declined, but influential works were released by Tormentor, Sarcófago, Parabellum, Blasphemy, Samael and Rotting Christ. A " second wave" arose in the early 1990s, spearheaded by bands in the early Norwegian black metal scene, such as Mayhem, Darkthrone, Burzum, Immortal, Emperor, Satyricon and Gorgoroth. This Norwegian scene did much to define black metal as a distinct genre, and inspired other scenes in Finland ( Beherit, ...
