Václav Roubíček
Václav Roubíček (born 13 December 1967) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. Biography Roubíček, who comes from Ostrava, started playing tennis at the age of 10 and turned professional in 1987. He won a Challenger tournament in Jakarta in 1991, a year in which he reached his career best ranking of 135 in the world. On the Grand Prix circuit, later ATP Tour, he had his best performances at the Prague Open, where he made the second round on three occasions. Ostrava
Ostrava (; ; ) is a city in the north-east of the Czech Republic and the capital of the Moravian-Silesian Region. It has about 283,000 inhabitants. The Ostra Group Open, formerly known as Prosperita Open, is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor red clay courts. It is currently part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. It has been held annually in Ostrava, Czech Republic, since 2004. Simon John Arthur Youl (born 1 July 1965) is a former professional tennis player from Australia. Tennis career Youl was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder from 1981 to 1984. Juniors As a junior player, Youl formed a successful doubles partnership with his fellow Australian player Mark Kratzmann. In 1983, the pair won the Boys' Doubles titles at the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. In singles, he reached three slam finals, attaining a ranking as high as No. 5 in the junior world rankings in 1983.
