Václav Jurečka
Václav Jurečka (born 26 June 1994) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish Süper Lig club Çaykur Rizespor and the Czech Republic national football team. Club career At the 2016–17 Czech Cup, Jurečka scored five goals, becoming the top scorer of Opava. On 26 April 2017, he scored the second goal in Opava's 2–0 victory at Mladá Boleslav in the semi-finals, helping his Second League team to defeat their fourth First League opponents in a row and advance to the cup final for the first time in club history. On 6 January 2020, Jurečka signed with Slovácko. He made his league debut on 22 February in a goalless draw against FK Mladá Boleslav. 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification – UEFA Second Round
The second round of the qualification tournament for the 2022 FIFA World Cup from UEFA (also known as the UEFA play-offs) was contested by twelve teams from the UEFA segment of qualifying. The play-offs determined the final three European teams that joined the group winners at the World Cup in Qatar. The ten runners-up from the UEFA first round groups participated in the play-offs, along with two group winners from the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League. Patrik Schick (born 24 January 1996) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Bayer Leverkusen and the Czech Republic national team. Born in Prague, Schick began his career with local club Sparta Prague, rising through their youth ranks, before making his senior debut as a teenager. He spent the 2015–16 season on loan with Bohemians 1905, from where he moved at the age of 20 to Sampdoria in Italy. After his debut season in Italy, he moved to Roma in 2017. Having spent three years in Italy, Schick moved to Germany in 2019 to join RB Leipzig on a season-long loan before moving to Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent basis in September 2020. 2023–24 Czech First League
The 2023–24 Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st season of the Czech Republic's top-tier football for professional clubs since its establishment in 1993. Sparta Prague were the reigning champions. The season started in July 2023. The first half of the season had 19 rounds, finishing in December, and the other half commenced in February 2024.
