Voldsminde was a tram stop on the Lade Line The Lade Line ( no, Ladelinjen) was a tramway between Munkegata and Lade in Trondheim, Norway. In 1913 the tram line to Lademoen was extended to Voldsminde and a new depot was built at the terminus. In 1936 a loop was constructed at Voldsminde, extending the terminal station about a block. After the tram to Lade was abandoned in 1988, the 11 brand new trams were stored at the depot at Voldsminde because the depot is located next to the Nordland Line. Lademoen
Lademoen is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is situated the borough of Østbyen, about east of Midtbyen, the city centre of Trondheim. Lademoen was incorporated into the city of Trondheim in 1893. The neighborhood is the site of Lademoen Church (''Lademoen kirke''). The area is served by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail (''Trønderbanen'') with access at Lilleby Station. All buses east of town stop at Lademoen. Between 1893 and 1988 the Trondheim Tramway had a tram route from the city centre to Lademoen, which was expanded to Lade in 1958. The Lade Line ( no, Ladelinjen) was a tramway between Munkegata and Lade in Trondheim, Norway. The first part of the line was opened in 1901, but not expanded to Lade until 1958. History The first steps of Lade Line were constructed at the same time as the Ila Line when the 3.5 km electric tram line between Ila and Buran at Lademoen opened in 1901 by the municipal Trondhjems Elektricitetsværk og Sporvei. By 1908 the headway on the line was down to 4 minutes, with the line being operated by 12 tramcars. The line was at first built as single track, but in 1913 the line was rebuilt to double track and a new depot at Voldsminde built, though the double track on Bakke Bridge was not completed until 1928. Trondheim Tramway
The Trondheim Tramway in Trondheim, Norway, is the world's most northerly tramway system, following the closure and dismantling of the Arkhangelsk tramways in Russia. It consists of one 8.8-km-long line, the Gråkallen Line, running from St. Olav's Gate in the city centre through Byåsen to Lian Station in Bymarka. Background Numbered Line 1, it is operated by Boreal Bane, a subsidiary of Boreal Norge and is often simply called the Gråkallen Line (Gråkallbanen). Gråkallbanen operates five tram cars, out of a total rolling stock of nine articulated tram cars built by Linke-Hofmann-Busch in 1984. Nordland Line
The Nordland Line ( no, Nordlandsbanen, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through the counties of Trøndelag (formerly Sør-Trøndelag and Nord-Trøndelag) and Nordland, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail.
