Vlastimil Válek
Vlastimil Válek (born 17 May 1960) is a Czech radiologist and politician, serving as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health since 17 December 2021, in the cabinet of Petr Fiala. He has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic since 2017, representing TOP 09. Early life and professional career Válek was born in 1960 in Brno. He spent his childhood in Poštorná and Břeclav, and graduated from Břeclav Gymnazium in 1979. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University (MUNI) in 1985 with a degree in radiodiagnostics, and in the same year joined the staff of Brno University Hospital in Bohunice, where he is now head of the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal tumors. Since 1993, he has also been working at the MUNI Faculty of Medicine as a professor of radiology. Brno-Bohunice
Bohunice is a district of Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic. It is located in the southwest part of the city. It is first mentioned in 1237. It began growing rapidly at the beginning of the 18th century. In 1919, Bohunice officially became part of Brno, which meant further growth. Street names first appeared in 1925. In 1921, Bohunice had 202 houses and 1463 inhabitants. Today's statistics show that Bohunice currently have approximately 540 houses with 17 300 inhabitants. Until 1975, Bohunice was just a small district at one end of the city of Brno, connected with the city center by a bus. In the 1980s many housing developments were built. Today, there is several tram lines, bus lines and trolleybus lines, which serve the transport to and from the city center. Legislative elections were held in the Czech Republic on 20 and 21 October 2017. Břeclav
Břeclav (; german: Lundenburg) is a town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 24,000 inhabitants.
