Vladimir Đukanović
Vladimir Đukanović ( sr-cyr, Владимир Ђукановић; born 2 March 1979), also known as Đuka Bison, is a Serbian politician, lawyer and talk show host. He has served in the National Assembly of Serbia since 2014 as a member of the Serbian Progressive Party. He is on the right-wing of the party and has sometimes clashed with its leadership. Early life and career Đukanović has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Belgrade and was a political commentator of some notoriety prior to his election to the assembly. He was at one time the host of a radio program called ''Fokus'' on Svet Plus Info; this program was known for, among other things, celebrating the birthday of Ratko Mladić and commemorating events organized by the far-right Obraz group. University Of Belgrade
The University of Belgrade () is a public university, public research university in Belgrade, Serbia. It is the oldest and largest modern university in Serbia. Founded in 1808 as the Belgrade Higher School in revolutionary Serbia, by 1838 it merged with the Kragujevac-based departments into a single university. 2014 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 16 March 2014, with nineteen electoral lists competing for 250 members of the National Assembly. The election was called early, after tensions in the coalition led by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS). President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić scheduled the election at the same time as the previously announced Belgrade City Assembly election. Voter turnout was 53.09%, with 3.22% of votes invalid. The Serbian Progressive Party and their coalition won the election by a landslide, receiving just under half the valid votes and winning an absolute majority of 158 seats in the assembly. Denis Keefe
Denis Edward Peter Paul Keefe CMG (born 29 June 1958) is a British diplomat and former Ambassador to Serbia and to Georgia. Biography Keefe was educated at The Campion School and studied Classics at Churchill College, Cambridge and Hellenistic Greek poetry at Hertford College, Oxford. He joined the Diplomatic Service in 1982 and served at Nairobi and twice at Prague as well as at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London. In 2007, he studied Georgian and Russian at Malmö University in preparation for his appointment as ambassador. Keefe was Ambassador to Georgia 2007–10 including the Russo-Georgian war in 2008. In politics, the opposition comprises one or more political parties or other organized groups that are opposed to the government (or, in American English, the administration), party or group in political control of a city, region, state, country or other political body. An ombudsman ( , also ) is a government employee who investigates and tries to resolve complaints, usually through recommendations (binding or not) or mediation. Saša Janković ( sr-cyr, Саша Јанковић, ; born 27 April 1970) is a Serbian lawyer, journalist, human rights activist and politician who served as the National Ombudsman of the Republic of Serbia between 2007 and 2017.
