Vladimir Beșleagă
Vladimir Beșleagă (25 July 1931 – 25 February 2025) was a Moldovan writer and politician. Life and career Vladimir Beșleagă was born to Eugenia and Vasile Beșleagă on 25 July 1931 in Mălăiești. Vladimir Beşleagă graduated from Moldova State University in 1955. He served as member of the First Parliament of Moldova. He was a member of the Moldovan Writers' Union from 1965. Vladimir Beșleagă died on 25 February 2025, at the age of 93. The parliament of the Republic of Moldova () is the supreme representative body of the Republic of Moldova, the only state legislative authority, being a unicameral structure composed of 101 elected MPs on lists, for a period or legislature of four years. The parliament of Moldova is elected by universal vote, equal directly, secret and freely expressed. The president of the parliament of the Republic of Moldova is elected by the Parliament, with a minimum of 52 votes. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova, on a proposal of the Central Electoral Commission, decides to validate or invalidate the mandate of the Member of Parliament. Mălăiești, Transnistria
Mălăiești (, , ) is one of the larger communes in the Grigoriopol sub-district, Transnistria, Grigoriopol sub-district, in the disputed territory of Transnistria, internationally recognised as part of the Republic of Moldova. Its name is derived from Romanian "", which means "millet or maize flour", with suffix -ești. It is composed of two villages, Cernița (Черниця, Черница) and Mălăiești.
