Vivian Kingma
Vivian Jilling Kingma (born 23 October 1994) is a Dutch cricketer. He played for the Netherlands in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament. He was initially selected in the Netherlands squad for the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in July 2015, but was replaced by Roelof van der Merwe. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Scotland on 5 February 2016. In December 2017, he took a hat-trick and his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket while playing for the Netherlands against Namibia in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. In July 2019, he was selected to play for the Rotterdam Rhinos in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. However, the following month the tournament was cancelled. The Scotland national cricket team, Scottish cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates to play Netherlands national cricket team, the Netherlands in February 2016. The tour consisted of a Twenty20 International (T20I) match. 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, co-hosted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket from 1 to 29 June 2024. It was the first major ICC tournament to include matches played in the United States. The West Indies had previously hosted the 2010 competition. A total of twenty teams competed in 55 matches across six venues in the West Indies, and three in the United States. The number of participants was increased from sixteen to twenty teams, which included teams from the two hosts, the top eight teams from the 2022 edition, the two highest-ranked teams in the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings not already qualified, and eight other teams determined through regional qualifiers. In the sport of cricket, ball tampering is an action in which a fielder illegally alters the condition of the ball. The primary motivation of ball tampering is to interfere with the aerodynamics of the ball to aid swing bowling. Definition Under Law 41, subsection 3 of the Laws of Cricket, the ball may be polished without the use of an artificial substance, may be dried with a towel if it is wet, and have mud removed from it under supervision; all other actions which alter the condition of the ball are illegal. These are usually taken to include rubbing the ball on the ground, scuffing with a fingernail,using sandpaper or other sharp object, or tampering with the seam of the ball. Dutch Cricket Team Against Afghanistan In Qatar In 2021–22
The Netherlands cricket team toured Qatar in January 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Afghanistan. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. All three matches were played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. Hashmatullah Shahidi was named Afghanistan's ODI captain, replacing Asghar Afghan. Afghanistan won the first ODI by 36 runs. With a century from Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Afghanistan won the second ODI by 48 runs to win the series with a match to play. In the third and final ODI, Afghanistan won by 75 runs, to take the series 3–0. Following the series, Dutch bowler Vivian Kingma was found guilty of ball tampering, and was given a four-match ban.
