''Viva'', ''vive'', and ''vivat'' are interjections used in the Romance languages. ''Viva'' in Spanish (plural ), Portuguese (plural ), and Italian (Also . in plural is rare), ''Vive'' in French, and ''Vivat'' in Latin (plural ) are subjunctive forms of the verb "to live." Being the third-person (singular or plural agreeing with the subject), subjunctive present conjugation, the terms express a hope on the part of the speaker that another should live. Thus, they mean "(may) he/she/it/they live!" (the word "may" is implied by the subjunctive mood) and are usually translated to English as "long live." Vive was a six-part a cappella group from England, United Kingdom. Consisting of a line-up of five men and a woman (bass, baritone, two tenors, male alto and soprano), it builds upon the contemporary a cappella sound, taking inspiration from Take 6 and The Real Group. They won the final of '' The Voice Festival UK'' 2013 and were presented with the Ward Swingle Award for outstanding originality, outstanding musicality and also best arrangement. Vive is a members-only mobile video chat community. The company has offices in San Francisco, Berlin and Hannover. It is free to use. History Vive was founded in Hannover by Arnd Aschentrup, Matthias Kleinmann and Tobias Dickmeis. All three had been involved in similar, formative projects prior to the creation of the app. Aschentrup worked with a number of companies in Germany's tech scene, co-founding Cyoshi Mobile GmbH with Dickmeis and later becoming Global COO of Mobile Streams. The company entered beta-phase in June 2014 and launched its iOS app in September of the same year. In October 2014 an iPad version of Vive was released, the same month during which the company successfully secured a 1.5 million funding round from prominent European investors.
