Vitória Sport Clube, popularly known as Vitória de Guimarães or sometimes just Vitória, is a Portuguese professional football club based in Guimarães that competes in the Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese football, at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques. The club also stands out on the national and international scene in sports such as athletics, volleyball, basketball, handball, water polo, swimming, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo and kickboxing, among others. It is currently the 4th club with the most appearances, totalling 81 participations, at the top level of the sport in Portugal. 1986–87 UEFA Cup
The 1986–87 UEFA Cup was the 16th season of the UEFA Cup, the third-tier club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). The final was played over two legs at the Ullevi, Gothenburg, Sweden, and at Tannadice Park, Dundee, Scotland. The competition was won by IFK Göteborg of Sweden, who defeated Dundee United of Scotland by an aggregate result of 2–1 to claim their second title. The 2004–05 Primeira Liga was the 71st edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 28 August 2004 with a match between Belenenses and Marítimo, and ended on 22 May 2005. Benfica won their 31st league title, with 65 points, three points ahead of the defending champions Porto. The league was contested by 18 clubs, and was considered one of the most competitive seasons in recent years. The first goal of the season was scored by Belenenses centre-back Rolando. The first red card of the season was given to Vitória de Setúbal's Bruno Ribeiro, and the first yellow was given to Belenenses' Juninho Petrolina in the opening match of the season. The 1941–42 Primeira Liga, Primeira Divisão was the eighth season of top-tier Association football, football in Portugal. At the beginning of the season, it was decided to expand the championship from 8 to 10 teams to admit Braga FA and Algarve FA champions (until this season only the top teams from Porto, Coimbra, Lisboa and Setúbal's FA were admitted). Porto finished the regional championship in third place, which did not grant entry into the Primeira Divisão.
