Viqarunnisa Noon School & College (), also known as VNSC, is an all-girls secondary school and college in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It has about 25,000 students at four campuses in the city. It is named after Viqar un Nisa Noon. History The school began as Ramna Preparatory School in 1947. Austrian Pakistani social worker Begum Viqar un Nisa Noon, wife of the then-governor of East Pakistan, Firoz Khan Noon, was impressed when she visited in 1950. With her support the school moved to its current Baily Road location, where it was renamed in her honour on 14 January 1952. Eunus Ali Akond
Eunus (died 132 BC) was a Roman slave from Apamea in Syria who became the leader and king of the slave uprising during the First Servile War (135 BC–132 BC) in the Roman province of Sicily. According to the historian Florus, his name is remembered due to the severe defeats he inflicted on the Romans. Eunus rose to prominence in the movement through his reputation as a prophet and wonder-worker and ultimately declared himself king. He claimed to receive visions and communications from the goddess Atargatis, a prominent goddess in his homeland whom he identified with the Sicilian Demeter and the Roman Ceres. Some of Eunus' prophecies, namely that the rebel slaves would successfully capture the city of Enna and that he would be a king some day, came true. Nurul Islam Nahid (; born 5 July 1945) is a Bangladeshi politician and author. He served as a member of the Bangladeshi Parliament from the Sylhet-6 constituency for 15 years, being elected in 1996, 2008, 2014, and 2018. He was also the country's minister of education from 2014 to 2018. Zinat Ara (born March 15, 1953) is the third female judge in Bangladesh. She is a former justice of the Appellate Division.
