Vignesh Dakshinamurthy (born 5 March 1998) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Indian Super League club Odisha, on loan from Hyderabad. Club career Born in Srirampura, Karnataka, Dakshinamurthy started his career with Ozone academy before being promoted to their first-team and playing for them in the I-League 2nd Division. Mumbai City On 8 September 2018, it was announced that Dakshinamurthy signed with Indian Super League side Mumbai City. On 20 December 2020, Vignesh scored his first goal in Indian Super League as well as for Mumbai City against Hyderabad in which he found the net in the 38th minute as Mumbai City won for 2–0. Srirampura is a town and residential suburb of Mysore city in India. It is located in the Southern part of the city . It has a population of approximately 11,000 according to the 2011 Census. They act as the main feeder team for the India national under-23 football team and the senior India national football team. AIFF Super Cup, also called the Super Cup or Hero Super Cup (for sponsorship ties), is an annual knockout football competition in Indian football. It is organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Competition is open to the clubs that play in Indian Super League and I-League, the current top 2 divisions of Indian football league system. History On 19 February 2018, the All India Football Federation announced the creation of the Super Cup as a replacement for the Federation Cup, India's main knockout football tournament. The qualifiers for the inaugural tournament were held between 15-16 March. The tournament proper then commenced on 31 March and concluded with the final on 20 April 2018. The 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division (known as Hero 2017–18 I-League 2nd Division, for sponsorship reasons) was the 11th season of the I-League 2nd Division, the second division Indian football league, since its establishment in 2008. The 2018 SAFF Championship, also known as 2018 SAFF Suzuki Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the 12th edition of the SAFF Championship, the biennial international men's football championship of South Asia organized by SAFF. It was initially scheduled to be hosted by Bangladesh in December 2017, but later rescheduled to 4–15 September 2018. Host selection On 2 January 2016, SAFF executive committee made a decision that Bangladesh would host the 2017 SAFF Championship at a meeting held in Trivandrum, India.
