Veselin Vuković
Veselin Vuković (; born 19 December 1958) is a Serbian handball coach and former player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1984 Summer Olympics. Club career Born in Struga ( PR Macedonia), Vuković moved with his family to Šabac (PR Serbia) at an early age. He started out at local club Metaloplastika, helping them win six Yugoslav Championships (1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84, 1984–85, and 1985–86), four Yugoslav Cups (1979–80, 1982–83, 1983–84, and 1985–86), and two successive European Cups ( 1984–85 and 1985–86). In 1986, Vuković went abroad to Spain and spent four seasons with Atlético Madrid. He also briefly played for Helados Alacant, before joining European champions Barcelona in 1991. International career At international level, Vuković represented Yugoslavia at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, winning the gold medal. Struga
Struga ( mk, Струга , sq, Strugë) is a town and popular tourist destination situated in the south-western region of North Macedonia, lying on the shore of Lake Ohrid. The town of Struga is the seat of Struga Municipality. Name The name Struga was first mentioned in the 11th century. It is of Slavic origin. and means a "river bed". The ancient name of the city is Enchalon (Εγχαλών), the ancient Greek word for eel, which may be related to the Illyrian Enchele tribe that was known to live in the region. According to E. 2012 European Men's Handball Championship
The 2012 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the men's continental handball tournament, which was held in Serbia between 15 and 29 January 2012. Sixteen teams qualified for the event, including host nation Serbia, defending champion France and fourteen national teams through the qualifying tournament. The teams were split into four groups of 4, with the top 3 teams of each group advancing to the main round, carrying the points won against other qualified opponents. Going to the main round with no points, Denmark ended up winning the championship after defeating Serbia in the final with a scoreline of 21–19. The bronze medal was claimed by Croatia, who defeated Spain 31–27 to win their second bronze and fourth European medal overall. Liga Asobal is the premier professional handball league in Spain. It was founded in 1958 with the name of División de Honor, changing its name to the current name in 1990. The Denmark men's national handball team ( da, Danmarks håndboldlandshold, Denmark's national handball team) is controlled by the Danish Handball Association and represents Denmark in international matches. They are the team with the fourth most medals won in European Championship history on the men's side behind Sweden, France and Spain, with a total of seven medals. Veselin Vujović
Veselin Vujović (born 18 January 1961) is a Montenegrin handball coach and former professional player. He is the current coach of Iran national team. As a player, Vujović competed at the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympics for the Yugoslavia national team. Playing career During his career Vujović played for RK Metaloplastika, Barcelona and Granollers. At Metaloplastika, he was part of the club golden generation during the 1980s, winning seven league titles, 4 cup titles and two European Champions Cup titles. Vujović also lost one final in 1984 and three semi-final matches in the European Champions Cup while playing for Metaloplastika. In 1986 he was named as the best athlete of Yugoslavia. The Men's EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. Yugoslav Handball Championship
The Yugoslav Handball Championship was the highest level competition in men's team handball in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, played regularly for almost four decades between 1953 and 1992, before being abandoned due to the breakup of Yugoslavia. History The first five editions from 1953 to 1957 were decided via a finals play-off tournament contested by clubs who had qualified in regional competitions, before a regular round-robin league format was introduced for the 1957–58 season.
