Vesela Hora, Luhansk Oblast
Vesela Hora ( uk, Весела Гора; russian: link=no, Весёлая Гора) is a village in Luhansk urban hromada, Luhansk Raion, Luhansk Oblast (region), Ukraine, at about 30 km NNW from the centre of Luhansk, on the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets river. The settlement was taken under control of pro-Russian forces during the War in Donbass, that started in 2014. Demographics In 2001 the settlement had 1197 inhabitants. Slavyanoserbsky Uyezd
Slavyanoserbsky Uyezd (''Славяносербский уезд'') was one of the subdivisions of the Yekaterinoslav Governorate of the Russian Empire. It was situated in the eastern part of the governorate. Donets
The Seversky Donets () or Siverskyi Donets (), usually simply called the Donets, is a river on the south of the East European Plain. It originates in the Central Russian Upland, north of Belgorod, flows south-east through Ukraine (Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts) and then again through Russia (Rostov Oblast) to join the river Don, about from the Sea of Azov. The Donets is the fourth-longest river in Ukraine, and the largest in eastern Ukraine, where it is an important source of fresh water. Luhansk
Luhansk (, ; uk, Луганськ, ), also known as Lugansk (, ; russian: Луганск, ), is a city in what is internationally recognised as Ukraine, although it is administered by Russia as capital of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). As of 2021, the population was estimated to be 399,559, making Luhansk the most populous city in the region and the 12th largest in Ukraine.
