Veronika Voráčková (born June 21, 1999) is a Czech basketball player for Casademont Zaragoza and the Czech national team. She participated at the EuroBasket Women 2017. On May 25, 2025, she signed for Casademont Zaragoza of the Endesa women's league in Spain. A shooting guard's main objective is to score points for their team and steal the ball on defense. Shooting guards typically play the "wing" of the court and are generally expected to play better in isolation than other positions. Some shooting guards are tasked with being a "spot up" shooter, in which they are assigned to catch and shoot the ball, either on an open shot or in transition. They are also expected to have skills driving to the basket or creating separation on an isolation defender. EuroBasket Women 2017
The 2017 European Women Basketball Championship, commonly called EuroBasket Women 2017, was the 36th edition of the continental tournament in women's basketball, sanctioned by the FIBA Europe. The tournament was awarded to Czech Republic after winning the bid to Serbia. The tournament also serves as a qualification for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup in Spain, with the top five nations qualifying. As hosts Spain finished in the top five, the sixth placed team also qualified. The championship was reverted to a 16 teams championship, after the 20 teams that participated in 2015. Spain defeated France 71–55 in the final to win their third title. In total, 61 556 people visited this event.
