Veronika Vadovičová
Veronika Vadovičová (born 9 February 1983) is a Slovak Paralympic shooter. A seven-time Paralympian, she has won medals at every Paralympics between 2008 and 2024. Among these, she has five gold medals, two silvers and one bronze. Career Vadovičová competed in a single event in the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, before going to Athens four years later to take part in four events for the 2004 Summer Paralympics at the age of 21. She was a gold medalist at the 2006 World Shooting Championships where she competed in three-position 50-metre rifle event. At the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, she won the gold medal in the 10 m air rifle standing SH1. At the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England, she won her second career Paralympic medal: a bronze in the 50 m rifle 3 positions SH1. Trnava
Trnava (, , ; , also known by other #Names and etymology, alternative names) is a city in western Slovakia, to the northeast of Bratislava, on the Trnávka river. The 2000 Summer Paralympic Games or the XI Summer Paralympics were held in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, between 18 and 29 October. The Sydney Paralympics was the last time that the Summer Paralympics were organized by two different Organizing Committees. In this edition, a record 3,801 athletes from 120 National Paralympic Committees participated in 551 events in 18 sports. Shooting at the 2023 European Para Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands will take place between 17 and 20 August. The European Para Championships is a multi-sport event contested by para-athletes from European nations. The championships have been awarded the status of regional games by the European Paralympic Committee and offer qualification opportunities for the Paralympic Games. The Championships are partly analogous with the European Games, taking place a year before the Paralympic Games and endorsed by the EPC, and with the European Championships in that they represent a combination of selected European championships in different sports.
