Verano de Escándalo (2018) (Spanish for "Summer of Scandal") was a major professional wrestling event produced by the Mexican Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) professional wrestling promotion, promotion, which took place on June 3, 2018, in Plaza de Toros La Monumental in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The Verano de Escándalo event has been a regular summer event for AAA since 1997, only skipping the event in 2012, 2013 and 2016. 2018 marked the 19th time AAA has used that name for an event. In the main event, Jeff Jarrett who defeated Rey Wagner and Rey Mysterio Jr., becoming the AAA Mega Championship, AAA Mega Champion for the second time. Sergio Marca (born January 18, 1987) is a Mexican ''luchador'', or professional wrestler, known as Carta Brava Jr., currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) portraying a ''rudo'' ("bad guy") wrestling character. He is the son of the original Carta Brava and actually has a brother who uses the same name and mask, working as "Carta Brava Jr." as well. His name is Spanish for Fight Card. The Lucha Libre World Cup was a two-day professional wrestling event and tournament organized by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) with the financial backing of the Grupo Modelo brewery, with Victoria Beer as the official sponsor. Triplemanía XX was a professional wrestling event scripted and produced by the AAA promotion, which took place on August 5, 2012, at Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico. The event was the twentieth annual Triplemanía, which is AAA's biggest show of the year, and marked AAA's debut in the new Arena Ciudad de México.
