Velimir Vidić (born 12 April 1979) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian retired football defender who last played for NK Vinogradar in Croatia. Vidić also has Croatian citizenship. Club career He played in several foreign clubs, such as MŠK Žilina in the Corgoň liga and FC Gossau. International career Velimir Vidić made his debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in a February 2005 friendly match away against Iran and has earned a total of 10 caps, scoring no goals. Vitez ( sr-cyrl, Витез) is a town and municipality located in the Central Bosnia Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the 2013 census, the town has a population of 6,329 inhabitants, with 25,836 inhabitants in the municipality. Etymology The worvitezmeans knight in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. History Vitez was part of Bosnia prior to the Ottoman Empire's occupation of the region, when it received its name. The first settlement was formed around the town's mosque, built in 1590.
